God, prepare me to be a sanctuary today.
May my hands be eager to serve. May my heart to be willing to love. May my ears be ever open to listen.
May my eyes see people – not tasks. May my mind understand that things are not always as they seem and may you give me wisdom and insight to understand the root of the issues around me.
Give me courage in the face of opposition, respect in the face of authority, and kindness in the presence of my enemies.
For to walk in your ways is to know you, Lord, and to live in your footsteps is to be a living sacrifice – this is the highest form of living, the deepest act of worship.

I grew up in the rural areas of Manitoba, Canada and never left. My home is surrounded by fields and farmland without the busyness of people rushing by or heavy traffic. I love it here.
Writing has always been a way for me to process life. I have been a writer from as young as I can remember. From winning poetry contests, to being featured in my local newspaper and now working on my first novel, I can truly say that it is a big part of my life. Other than writing, my life is fairly simple: I am a stay at home mom with 5 beautiful children. I’m married to my best friend, who works for local internet company. I decorate cakes. I love running. And my faith in Jesus keeps me going.

Wouldn’t you know, this verse has been in my face for the past two days (all-caps mine):
“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, WHICH IS YOUR SPIRITUAL WORSHIP. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” (Romans 12:1-2 ESV)
It Falls in line with your “deepest act of worship.” 🙂
Ooo, mama. What does God have in store? We shall see…

I love it when God does this: speaks a similar word to many throughout his body. That was the verse I was meditating on when I wrote this 😊

I love your prayer, Heather.
I’m sorry for missing so many of your posts, too; I’m grabbing people at random and that ‘schedule’ clearly skips yours.

Thank you Chelsea! To be honest I haven’t been blogging a lot lately, so there’s probably not a ton that you’ve missed 😆
